Groen - a chair inspired by the Red Blue Chair by Gerrit Rietveld and the De Stijl Movement.
Based on the premise of "1, 2, 3" - the archetype of the chair is composed of three components: the back, seat and legs. I have dissected the chair as we know it and exposed the three parts. Thinking of them as planes I have explored through sketching various combinations that still amount to a functioning chair.

I applied my own "rules", much like the De Stijl style, of manipulating planes and sticking to a regimented colour scheme. The colour green has been chosen as it is the colour used for the cover of the De Stijl manifesto.
